As Senior Toolpusher, James Hodson plays a pivotal role in managing drilling operations, ensuring that projects are executed in compliance with safety standards and within budget. His expertise includes a wide range of activities such as drilling and completions, rig reactivation, well intervention, and plug and abandonment (P&A). James Hodson has successfully overseen numerous high-profile projects, including the completion of the UK’s first geothermal electricity project for Geothermal Engineering Ltd where operations were conducted incident-free with zero non-productive time.
Prior to joining Consortium Drilling Ltd, James served as a Senior Toolpusher at BOLDON DRILLING LIMITED and British Drilling and Freezing Company (BDF), where he gained valuable experience in rig operations and team leadership working for notable clients such as bp, Perenco, Egdon Resources Limited, UK Oil & Gas Investments plc, Angus Energy Plc Star Energy Group plc, E.ON and ENGIE. James is highly organised and possesses a deep knowledge of drilling equipment operations and maintenance procedures. He excels in supervising drilling activities, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring that the rig operates within its designed parameters. His ability to build robust relationships with clients and team members has been instrumental in driving success on the rig.
