Our story

The roots of Consortium Drilling trace back to the late 1970s, when the founders first learned their trade with Thompson Drilling. In the 1980s, Charlie and Steve gained invaluable practical experience working for Kenting Drilling, which was later acquired by Simmons Edeco in the 1990s. Over the years, they worked their way up from roughnecks to senior management and director roles, honing their expertise in drilling operations and leadership.

In recent years, Charlie, Steve, and Stuart, each having built highly respected companies in their own right, came together with a shared vision to establish Consortium Drilling. By combining their extensive practical experience, engineering excellence, and professional services, they set out to offer real value to the renewable energy sectors.

With the global energy sector undergoing a transition to cleaner, renewable markets, Consortium Drilling recognised an opportunity to drive innovation and bring deep drilling expertise to the energy solutions of the future.
